Owner & Executive Chef of t Vuelve Carmela (Villahermosa) and Carmela y Sal (Mexico City) restaurants, named in 2020 the Best Chef in Mexico by Gentleman magazine, Gaby studied gastronomy at the Culinary School of the Southeast in Mérida, Yucatán. Originally from Comalcalco, Tabasco, in 2019 she was named one of the 100 most powerful women in Mexico by Forbes magazine and that same year she began working on a synesthesia project in the kitchen, for which she created dishes inspired by musical compositions for artists like Miguel Bosé, Aleks Syntek, Leonel García, Lila Downs and Monsieur Perin.

Gaby’s gastronomy is inspired by her roots, her childhood memories, and her personal life, always working with fresh and totally Mexican products, of which, according with Gaby, chili is the ingredient that makes Mexican gastronomy so worldwide famous.
