Originally from Uruapan Michoacán with 20 years of experience, from a family of chefs by tradition.
One of the jobs that has marked him the most was as a kitchen chef at LesMustaches and Mustaches Bistrót, under the direction of the renowned chef Rafael Bautista. Fernando was the winner of the fourth edition of the 2014 Mexico Chef of the Year Contest, where he later was a judge and participated in the first season of the series Top Chef Mexico in 2016.
He has directed the kitchens of Yuban, Seneri, Root and his restaurant: Migrante, located in Colonia Roma Norte, Mexico City which has captivated the most demanding palates, as well as Casa Kun, a place refreshing with ranchero-inspired breakfasts and fresh sea food, in the Hotel Carlota in Mexico City.
In addition, he has been a speaker at various forums and gastronomic festivals and internationals such as Sabores CDMX in Minneapolis USA.
