Sam Choy

Sam Choy grew up in the small town of Laie on Oahu’s North Shore and learned to cook at his father’s restaurant, The Hukilau Café. Today, with six restaurants of its own, Choy is world renowned for its delicious food and friendly personality.

He characterizes his award-winning cuisine as “a melting pot of the freshest ingredients from all the cultures of these islands”.

Choy is the author of eleven best-selling cookbooks and appears frequently on hit Food Network shows such as Extreme Cuisine, Emeril Live !, East Meets West with Ming Tsai, Iron Chef America, Chopped among others.
