Ben Martinek

Chef Marinek has worked in restaurants beginning in the kitchen around the age of 16 in Colorado.
He moved to San Francisco in 2005 to attend CCA culinary school.
After school he worked at Jardiniere and cortez in the city before moving to Orange County, where he had the opportunity to work at The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel.

After about 18 months, an opportunity arose to him to work at the 5 star restaurant studio, at the Montage Laguna Beach.

In 2010, worked at Montage for 13 years, rising from cook, to eventually Chef De Cuisine of Studio.
In 2023 he moved to the sister brand, Pendry hotels, to open Pendry Newport Beach as Executive Chef, where I oversee a team of 80, and all day-to-day culinary operations. The doors were opened in September 2023.
