Rupam Bhagat

Rupam Bhagat is Chef Owner of a new concept named Bindaas in the San Francisco Bay Area.

A native of Mumbai, Chef Rupam is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, with a degree in culinary arts. He began his culinary career at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples, FL. From there, he continued with The Ritz Carlton Hotel Co. working at Portugal, Bahrain, Reynolds Plantation, GA, Half Moon Bay, CA and Dove Mountain, AZ. Chef Rupam was part of the opening leadership team of Terranea resort in Los Angeles, CA.

Chef Rupam returned to the Bay Area in 2014 to start Dum Indian Soul Food, his wildly popular food truck offering interpretations of the beloved Indian food on which he was raised. In 2016 he opened his brick-and-mortar venture, named Ritu. Both Dum Indian Soul Food & Ritu received accolades and were featured in Food & Wine, SF Chronicle, Eater and the Michelin guide.
